Prince George’s County has posted the new tax bills on their site. While the assessments went down to reflect the current market by a substantial amount, the tax bills only had a few hundred dollars drop from previous bills. This small drop was caused by a huge reduction in the “Homestead Tax Credit” that owners received, which in some way was affected by the County’s TRIM program. The good news is the tax bills went down, the bad news is it probably didn’t go down as much as most people were hoping for.
